John Wooden Story

It is said that John Wooden told his players that when they made a basket, the first thing to do was to look for the person who gave them the pass prior to the basket and to acknowledge them. A player is said to have asked Wooden, "What if they are looking the other direction?" Wooden replied, "They won't be, they'll be looking at you."

Im not sure if it was the sports reference or the fact that comments seem to be a rarity that i decided to write this. All that aside i love this story because sometimes we overlook doing something so simple as giving credit where it is due because we dont think anyone would notice anyway. It isn't until your on the receiving end of that nod that you truly realize how much it means to know somebody noticed.
